How Diet Supports Alternative Cancer Treatment
Filed in archive Cancer and Diet on February 7, 2010
Good diet and nutrition is one of the most important factors for fighting cancer through either traditional or alternative treatment methods. It's imperative to stick to a diet that includes foods having nutrients that kill cancer cells, but do it without harming healthy cells.
A diet heavy in processed or refined foods not only contributes to poor overall health but can more adversely affect those with cancer by rendering many alternative cancer treatments ineffective. For this reason, many "cancer diets" for alternative treatment are more restrictive than their traditional medicine counterparts. With these specialized diets it's important not only to ingest the foods required, but to avoid foods that can interrupt or interfere with the immune system's ability to kill cancer cells.
